West Goshen Community Park is a wonderful place to take your family! Not only does it have beautiful scenery but it also offers:

- one softball field

- one Little League baseball field

- one 7adult hardball field

- two basketball courts

- four tennis courts

- playground

- two sand volleyball courts

- .8 mile path to run or walk

- a concession stand

- an amphitheater

- picnic tables

WC Good Will Fire Company

The Good will Fire Company began in 1833.

This is one of three fire stations that make up the West Chester Fire Department.

 

   

                           

The fire company branches out to the local community. The children become entranced by the big fire trucks and fancy fireman attire.

Walking the Streets of West Chester

West Chester is a beautiful town filled with a lot of history. Some days, I will walk through the town, taking in the scenes and talking to the people. Preservation is very important to local residents in the borough. If you spend an hour walking the street, you will understand the necessity for keeping the history alive. It’s a town that persevered through the times and flourished to what it is today. I respect it’s survival and strength.

The architectural structures in West Chester create the feel of dominance. To me, West Chester illustrates professionalism and democracy.

This is the Chester County Court House, built-in 1846 and opened in 1848. It was built by Thomas U. Walter, who was the fourth Architect of the Capital. Thomas added the north and south wings, as well as, the central dome of the U.S. Capitol.

These are just a few sites of the town. My goal is to get to know West Chester even better by researching it’s historical significance. As I take on this task, I want to share it with everyone else. I love this town, I feel connected because of what West Chester represents. I want to share the love I have for this town, with you.
